Our Story
Born and raised in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Leesa, owner operator of the Sunshine Coast Pet Crematorium grew up sharing her house (and sometimes bed) with a variety of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, chooks, goats, wallabys and even a pet dingo. Leesa has come to know the community firsthand through her love of animals. With over 15 years experience in animal welfare, she’s played an avid role supporting the Coast’s animal shelters, providing foster care and aiding the local market by sourcing her equipment and services locally where possible.
Leesa knows firsthand how hard it is to say goodbye to your pet, how they become part of your family and part of your life – and how deserving every pet is of a loving send off. In 2017, Leesa founded the Sunshine Coast Pet Crematorium as a way to use her care and compassion for animals, and those who love them, to serve the Sunshine Coast community.
The Sunshine Coast Pet Crematorium is a small owner operated business so you can be assured of caring, personalised service. Also, being a small operation we try to keep our overheads low to make giving your pet a loving send off as affordable as possible for everyone.

![MC (Mumma Cat) MC arrived with a littler of kittens but she was very scared and couldn't be approached. She raised her kittens, hiding under a cabinet and hissing any time someone entered the room. She couldn't be re-homed due to her extreme fear so she has stayed with us. Over the months she has slowly learned to relax a little (see pic)](https://sunshinecoastpetcrematorium.com.au/wp-content/uploads/MC-180x180.jpg)

![Frankie Found and dropped at the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge heavily pregnant in 2006. Extremely timid and afraid, she ran away from her first adopted home before coming home with us aged approximately 3yrs. Unknown to us she was escaping under our fence while we were at work in the first weeks, but luckily would return in time for when we got home! A special companion, loved by everyone she met, RIP 2019.](https://sunshinecoastpetcrematorium.com.au/wp-content/uploads/Frankie-Head-Shot-152x180.jpg)
